標題 Proceedings of the International Workshop on Steel and Concrete Composite Construction (IWSCCC-2003)
作者 [蔡克銓] [劉季宇]
摘要 A full-scale 3-story, 3-bay RCS composite frame measuring 12-meter high and 21-meter long was constructed and tested in National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE) of Taiwan on 11-16 October 2002 using networked pseudo-dynamic testing techniques. An identically sized composite frame, constructed with CFT columns and buckling restrained braces (BRBs), is scheduled to be tested on 3-7 October 2003. Many researchers from Taiwan, US and Japan have participated in the design, analysis, and testing of these two composite frames. This cooperative research program has provided excellent opportunities for national and international researchers and engineers to share valuable research experience, tools and experimental facilities. It is through this kind of collaboration between university professors, graduate students, and professionals that advancement of knowledge and closer ties among these participants can be facilitated. This proceeding contains the papers to be published during the International Workshop on Steel and Concrete Composite Constructions held at NCREE, 8-9 October 2003. The technical program of the workshop consists of two days of presentations with four keynote lectures, and 30 invited papers covering a wide range of topics on mechanical behavior, design, analysis and construction of composite structures and buckling restrained braces. This proceeding serves as a permanent record of the very successful on-going scientific collaborations among Taiwan, US and Japan in the areas of steel and concrete composite construction. The objectives of the workshop include not only exchanging the latest findings, but also promoting opportunities for new and continuing collaboration. The organizers of the workshop would like to thank all participants from US, Japan, Canada, China and Taiwan for their dedicated effort and support. The financial contributions and supports from National Science Council of Taiwan and NCREE are gratefully acknowledged.
